Siphiwe-Nokukhanya Mnguni: Tension & Release - Spoken Word Event, 5 March 2026

We were thrilled to collaborate with artist Siphiwe Mnguni and actress Anna-Margarita to present the first open mic spoken word event at Oliver Projects Gallery!

Six performers including Julie Cheung, Lexie Penhaligon and Harry Mellor responded to the works in Siphiwe’s solo exhibition ‘Look! Big Whip!!!’, delighting a full house at the gallery, with music provided by Shaq Taylor.

We are proud that this event was the precursor to the launch of Second Space, a community for monthly spoken word events, currently held at Go Hub Studio in Brixton.
