We are looking forward to presenting a joint exhibition of new work by London-based contemporary artists Bobbye Fermie and Jake Garfield.

‘Man and Woman in Garden’ will feature 17 new works including two special pieces made by the artists in collaboration. This is the first time that the pair have worked collaboratively, and the first time that they have exhibited together.

Bobbye and Jake have developed distinct practices alongside one another with several connections emerging over the years. The presence of a human figure – within imagined or specific interior spaces – is an important constant for both. In ‘Man and Woman in Garden’, further mutual interests emerge, including closely related palettes, and a shared love for a tactile range of media.

Described by Bobbye as ‘a celebration of life’, the exhibition will include new monotypes, limited edition prints, collages and paintings by both artists.

We are delighted to present a solo exhibition of new work by emerging artist Siphiwe-Nokukhanya Mnguni, whose artistic practice navigates the notion of identity whilst exploring the iconography of the black female nude in relation to her own body.

Look! BIG WHIP!!! is the first solo exhibition for the artist. Featuring vibrant paintings and mixed media drawings on paper, the works are inspired by a recent trip to Bali and Lombok. The exhibition’s title pays homage to local surfers who would point and shout ‘big whip!’ when a powerful wave appeared. For the artist, this became a metaphor for – in her words – ‘learning to watch out for life’s unpredictable challenges - and surrendering to the unexpected.’

We are proud to present a solo exhibition of new work on paper by contemporary painter Robbie Fife.

Hidden Nature was the first exhibition to focus entirely on monotypes by the artist. The selected works in the exhibition are part of a larger body which continues to explore Robbie’s interest in the rural life and mysterious characters of his homeland in North Yorkshire. Snails, birds, rats, eggs, men in flat caps, and figures practicing martial arts - under the watchful gaze of flowers - all feature in these gently surreal images. He says; ‘for me, all these beings, places, happenings and activities are connected’.

Suzanne Moxhay: Thresholds

We were proud to present ‘Thresholds’ - a solo exhibition of work by south east London-based artist Suzanne Moxhay.

Suzanne's complex images use archival or newly-taken photographs as their starting point. Combining techniques such as digital photomontage, painting, and model-making, her works explore derelict spaces that, in the artist’s words, ‘feel as though they have broken down and perhaps been re-claimed.’

Thresholds featured several new limited edition prints by the artist such as ‘Landing’ (pictured). Including archival pigment prints and etchings, the exhibition explores how Suzanne uses doors, windows and mirrors to fragment the scenes she creates and suggest - or project - what might lie beyond.

We were delighted to present new work by Portugal-born, south east London-based artist Joana Galego

Hiding Behind Gifts was the first solo exhibition to focus entirely on works on paper by the artist. This new body of mixed media and collage works takes inspiration from drawings made from life, film stills and reflections upon childhood memories. Richly detailed and multi-layered, each piece combines drawn and painted components often made in different places at different times. The resulting compositions explore - in Joana’s words - ‘the push and pull of gentle actions such as hiding, detaching, protecting and nurturing’.

We were delighted to present ‘Drop Shadows’, which brought together new work by Katherine Jones RA and Temsuyanger Longkumer.

Organised in collaboration with Sims Reed Gallery, the exhibition explored the delicate — and often deceptive - minutia of the natural world, through painting, sculpture and printmaking. Despite very different upbringings in Hertfordshire and Nagaland, Katherine and Temsuyanger's respective artistic practices share an intense fascination with the subtly transformative forces of nature, and its power to represent both danger and refuge.
