Alice Macdonald, Thinking About the Boy Next Door, 2021 (framed)

£320.00
Sold

Watercolour and acrylic on paper, 15 x 20cm

Alice Macdonald is an emerging, London-based artist whose diaristic paintings are informed by a broad range of sources spanning historical literature, classic films, myths, fairytales, and friends and family painted from life.

Alice’s jewel-like works on paper form a core part of her practice, their smaller scale lending them an intense, voyeuristic quality. This framed work is one of a series where the artist has drawn directly from historical and more recent films on television. Each of them re-interprets a leading actress’s performance, in this case, the inimitable Judy Garland starring in the 1944 classic ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’.

Purchased works are usually despatched within three working days.
