Alice Macdonald, Three Glasses of Wine, 2023 (framed)
Watercolour and acrylic on paper, 15 x 20cm
Alice Macdonald is an emerging, London-based artist whose diaristic paintings are informed by a broad range of sources spanning historical literature, classic films, myths, fairytales, and friends and family painted from life.
Alice’s jewel-like works on paper form a core part of her practice, their smaller scale lending them an intense quality. This framed work relates to a painting on canvas made in the artist’s grandmother’s kitchen on a summer’s evening. ‘I had just been to the Raphael show at the National Gallery and was thinking about those clear blue skies he painted’.
Purchased works are usually despatched within three working days.
