Alice Macdonald, View from Skye, 2021 (framed)
Watercolour and acrylic on paper, 15 x 20cm
Alice Macdonald is an emerging, London-based artist whose diaristic paintings are informed by a broad range of sources spanning historical literature, classic films, myths, fairytales, memories, and friends and family painted from life.
Alice’s jewel-like works on paper form a core part of her practice, their smaller scale lending them an intense, voyeuristic quality. Lakes and oceans are recurring themes in Alice’s work; this painting depicts a ship bobbing on choppy waters viewed from the Isle of Skye, where Alice has spent many happy holidays.
Purchased works are usually despatched within three working days.
