Alice Macdonald, View of Loch Boisdale, 2021 (framed)
Watercolour and acrylic on paper, 15 x 20cm
Alice Macdonald is an emerging, London-based artist whose diaristic paintings are informed by a broad range of sources spanning historical literature, classic films, myths, fairytales, and friends and family painted from life.
Alice’s jewel-like works on paper form a core part of her practice, their smaller scale lending them an intense, voyeuristic quality. She often draws from life and memory reflecting upon holidays to Scotland. This dreamlike painting, complete with mystical creatures, is Alice’s interpretation of a view towards Loch Boisdale, which is remotely situated in the outer Hebrides. She describes it as ‘so far away - definitely an escape!’.
Purchased works are usually despatched within three working days.
