Amsterdam-born artist Bobbye Fermieis renowned for her dreamlike works on paper that explore introspective female figures inhabiting imaginary spaces. Inspired by memories and photographs.
In early 2023 Bobbye began to explore printmaking using two very different techniques; woodcut and monotype. The result is her first cohesive series of prints titled 'Tales of the Home', which Oliver Projects has been proud to launch exclusively online. In these prints, Bobbye has continued to investigate the lives of her solitary female figures going about their business in domestic scenarios
This unique water-based monotype has been hand-printed at Artichoke Print Workshop, in Brixton. It is one of seven new unique works with a free-flowing, spontaneous quality produced in a palette of reds, pinks and blues.
