Katherine Jones’ practice encompass a wide range of techniques that she combines to produce her distinctive limited edition and unique prints. Her works are characterised by a particular luminosity whether it be generated by sunlight hitting water or the artificial glow from within a glasshouse.
This unframed limited edition print is part of a body of work titled ‘We Grew the Long Bones’ that took inspiration from archetypal, historical and mythical female figures in literature. The viewer peers at a house through a forest of tree trunks, or the bars of a cage. The building’s reflection in the earth beneath creates a characteristically ambiguous hiding space in plain sight.
