Playful and otherworldly, Mo’s paintings, works on paper, and theatrical enactments often feature ‘the Woanderer’, a unique, horse-headed creature that navigates imaginary landscapes whilst exploring the notion of identity.
This unframed, unique work is one of a series of new pieces which combine monoprinted elements with mixed media including embroidery thread, ribbon and fabric. Areas where the artist has printed directly from textured fabric such as lace add surface texture and tactility. It is one of a series of three vibrant new works featuring the artist’s ‘explorer’ deep in slumber, whilst - in this case - a small bear trundles past overhead.
