Suzanne Moxhay, A Return, 2024 (framed)

£950.00
Sold

Photopolymer gravure with watercolour and chine collé, 73 x 56cm, edition of 15

Suzanne Moxhay’s complex images use archival or newly-taken photographs as their starting point. Combining a variety of low and high-tech techniques, her digital photomontages and etchings explore interior and exterior spaces that, in the artist’s words, ‘feel as though they have broken down and perhaps been re-claimed’.

The Photopolymer gravure technique produces results similar to a traditional etching, albeit without the use of acid. ‘A Return’ is typical of Suzanne’s constructed compositions where various elements are brought together by the artist to create - in her words - ‘something that’s not quite right’. Here, light sources (both natural and artificial), and reflection, play key roles in creating atmosphere and a sense of stillness. This print is signed and numbered on the front.

Purchased works are usually despatched within three working days.
