Suzanne Moxhay’s complex images use archival or newly-taken photographs as their starting point. Suzanne’s practice is informed by an interest in film-making, and strong light sources play a key role in creating drama. ‘There’s always been a bit of a play in my work between what’s inside and outside, both in literal and psychological terms. In films the sets and scenes are often used in a way to try and describe the psychology of the character or something to do with the story; that’s always interested me.’
This unframed limited edition print by Suzanne was included in our 2025 solo exhibition of work by the artist at Oliver Projects Gallery titled ‘Thresholds’. . Here, sprouting plants and blown-in autumnal leaves also suggest that natural forces are slowly moving in whilst an unseen light source illuminates from above.
A white border of approx. 5-7cm is included in the stated paper size and all prints are signed on this border - please see example image below.
