Tamsin Relly, Wildflower 5, 2022
Monotype, 28.5 x 25.5cm
South Africa-born artist Tamsin Relly moved to London in 2009 and received her MA in Fine Art at City & Guilds of London Art School in 2011. Her multi-disciplinary practice, which includes painting, printmaking and photography, reflects on our shifting global climate, and considers the erasure and construction of wilderness.
Drawing on both found media imagery and first-hand observations, Tamsin’s artistic practice explores the fluid and unpredictable qualities of different materials. This unique print from a wildflower husk was made whilst living and working ‘off grid’ in rural Cornwall during the summer of 2022. Each print in the series is delicately layered; this work has a subtle lilac palette and a textured surface where the husk has made its mark. In Tamsin's words, the process of building up the image 'almost becomes a dance'.
Purchased works are usually despatched within three working days.
